Paradise Found.

After arriving in Tampa my parents, siblings, Luke, and I (Phil came later) drove over to Vero Beach to spend time with my extended family and attend the service for my Uncle Dave. We stayed in a hotel for the weekend, and Luke thought it was the greatest thing. His most favorite part of the hotel was the "el-gator!" (elevator) and the "red one!" (alarm button) which was right at his level inside the elevator. He would beg to ride the el-gator all the time and the instant that we opened the hotel room door or walked into the hotel, he would go sprinting to the elevator, yelling "i push red one!!!!" I can't tell you how many times each of us told Luke that no, we DO NOT push the red button. It must have been in the thousands, I swear. It didn't matter, though. He still to this day wants to push the red one if he sees any kind of el-gator. Anyway, he treated the hotel like he owned the place and ran all over, up and down the halls, around and around outside. I think after having been stuck inside our house all winter long (probably ever since he can remember, considering how young he is), he thought that this new warm place called Florida was some sort of paradise. It was a challenge to keep him contained any time we were in the hotel, so we had to get creative. Thus, we spent a lot of time like this:

When Luke first climbed up by himself, he thought he was a super cool dude. Then Annie joined him and Pops agreed to push, and Luke was suddenly unsure of what he'd gotten himself into.

All it took, though, was one ride down the hall...

...and he was sold!

Of course he had to take matters into his own hands before too long.

Such a good helper.

And such a Stinker!

*and yes, keight...i realize he's wearing THAT shirt again. i swear he has more than one shirt to his name...*
