Luke loves his new golf clubs, so this past weekend Team Tatum took to the links (aka, our backyard) and had some fun. Due to the grounds keeper's very busy schedule, the greens had been neglected for quite a while, so that made it virtually impossible for putting. We had to stick to chipping and driving. Luke didn't mind at all, especially since his favorite things to do while golfing are:

1. Chew on the ball.
and...

2. Carry the clubs around and/or throw them on the ground. Repeatedly.

Occasionally he decided to connect the club with the ball, but it was a rare moment when he did.

Daddy got bored and impatient in his role as coach/caddy/spectator, so he had to go get his own ball and club.

Uh-oh, Daddy! I forgot my golf spikes!

Maybe that's why I keep falling down.

Daddy tried so hard to negotiate a little club-to-ball contact out of the Stinker.

He even tried showing Luke exactly how to hold and swing the club....This led to major protesting and screaming on Luke's part.

After all that hard work, Luke needed a water break.

Which led to a little respite at the club house deck.

Then after a little pep talk with his club,

Luke decided to try his hand at putting on said deck.

When that didn't work out so well, he realized that he could just kick the ball and carry the putter and be perfectly happy.

And even happier when he spotted Mommy with a snack.

You are gonna share, aren't you Mom?

He always wrinkles his nose when he's really going to town on his food. It cracks me up.

Really. It's not that funny, Mom.

Aaaahhh...much better...

Now back to my game!
